Furnish will collect good quality unwanted furniture from your home.  You can also go to their showroom and buy furniture.  Click on the links below for more information.

Donate items

Furnish will make collections from areas of Brent located south of the north circular road and areas in east Ealing.  They also make collections from Hammersmith and Fulham, City of Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.

To donate items please call 020 8996 8920.  There is a £20 collection charge for up to 10 items collected from your home.  You will be asked about the items you want to donate and a collection date will be booked with you.  Collections slots are  09.00am to 1.00pm or 1.00pm to 4.00pm.

If your items cannot be reused you can pay an additional charge to have them taken away for disposal.

You are welcome to bring the items to the furniture scheme yourself, just arrange a time with the staff.

The furniture accepted and made available to customers:

  • Bed bases and frames
  • Mattresses with a fire regulation label
  • Wardrobes
  • Bedside tables
  • Dressing tables
  • Tables and chairs (chairs must be in pairs)
  • Bookcases
  • Sofas
  • Chest of drawers
  • Items still flat-packed
  • Antique furniture

Furniture not accepted or sold:

  • Sofas and mattresses without the Fire Regulation label
  • Stained or damaged furniture
  • Commercial office furniture
  • Electrical items

All items will be inspected before collection from your home.  If the item is not in good condition, it will not be collected.

Be referred

You can be referred to Furnish by a number of organisations including social services, Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Age UK, hospices and your housing association.  Contact Furnish on 020 8996 8920 for more details about referring agents.

The Furnish warehouse is a short walk from the 220 bus route.

Buying furniture

There are several packages of furniture available depending on your needs.  Your new furniture will be delivered to your home.  Delivery charges vary. All items are inspected before being placed in the showroom so only good quality items will be available for you.

Volunteering with us

Furnish have a proven record of training and skilling people at their furniture warehouse.  They have taken 15 people as part of the Future Jobs Fund and have a high rate of employment for their volunteers.  Over the last year 14 volunteers have secured full time jobs.  If you are looking for useful experience contact them.

About the project

Furnish is part of the Shepherd’s Bush Housing group.  Furnish is a registered charity set up to redistribute unwanted good quality furniture to vulnerable and homeless people referred to them by partner agencies.
Furnish offer packages of furniture at different prices to meet your furniture needs.  Once you’ve chosen your furniture it will be delivered to your home.  They are also able to give you access to linen and kitchen packs so you have even more of the essential items you need.  .

Furnish also run the following services:

  • Clearing empty properties
  • Storage facilities
  • Supply of new white goods and new furniture
  • Small moves for other not-for-profit social enterprises
  • Provision of kitchen kits and new or gifted bedding kits
  • Work experience placements and volunteer opportunities.
