Gifts with less packaging

Have you ever been frustrated by gifts that come sandwiched between two polystyrene blocks, bound with plastic ties, in a plastic bag, inside a larger cardboard twice the size of the gift itself?

Instead we can choose to buy presents with less or no packaging.

Here are some examples

• Gift vouchers, you can buy book, gardening or store vouchers that are valid nationwide.
• Gift cards – top them up year after year.
• E-vouchers for music, book or film downloads.
• Give an experience present such as theatre tickets.
• Donate to a charity that is close to their heart or buy a good gift.
• Adopt an animal.
• Buy membership to an organisation like the National Trust or Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE).
• Put together a food hamper of favourite foods in an attractive box using no extra packaging.
• Give a book
