It is easy to set up a recycling scheme at school.  Ask your council recycling team about the services they provide to schools:

The Benefits

• It’s good for the environment – divert materials away from landfill and help them be used again.  Save carbon and reduce pollution.
• Set a good example – show your pupils how seriously you value the environment and help them learn about the benefits of recycling.
• It’s cost effective – the charges applied to your waste collection include a tax for sending it to landfill, items collected for recycling do not include a landfill tax charge.
