There are local groups taking action to reduce waste and encourage reuse. You can take part in their activities, meetings and visits.

Brentford Recycling Action Group
There’s a meeting every month. Join in with community waste action activities.
Brent Sustainability Forum
Go along to the regular meetings or join their website group to help create better, greener places to live and work.
Brent Campaign against Climate Change
Go to one of their events. Rubbish sent to landfill produces greenhouse gases so by preventing waste and reusing you can help prevent climate change.
Harrow Agenda 21 Group (HA21)
Meeting 6 times a year this group is a partnership between community groups, schools, community groups, individuals and Harrow Council. All members of the group are committed to making Harrow a more sustainable place to live and work.
Hillingdon FOE
Go to one of their monthly meetings on the third Tuesday every month to talk about a variety of environmental issues including waste. Earlier this year they supported the campaign to halve the amount of rubbish thrown away.
Richmond Environment Network
A network of groups in the Richmond area that encourage community-based environmental and sustainability activities.
The Women’s Institute
Take part in national campaigns and local action to reduce packaging on products and to stop so much food being thrown away.
