West London Waste Authority

Members and officers

WLWA is governed by six councillors.  One councillor is chosen by each of the boroughs (Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond upon Thames).  A Chair and Vice-Chair are elected by the six councillors at the General Meeting held in June each year.

Jim is responsible for the day to day management of WLWA.  He helps to ensure effective and efficient services and management of staff and resources.

Suresh Kamath

Suresh provides technical advice across waste management, building maintenance and similar services. He chairs the Constituent Engineer’s Group which is the main forum for discussion of partnership and operational working with the six West London councils.

Jennifer Hydari

Interim Treasurer
Head of Financial Services, London Borough of Harrow

Jennifer is responsible for the financial management of the Authority including preparation and presentation of the accounts. It is the Treasurer who issues levies on the six West London Councils to provide the income to pay for the Authority’s services.

  Solicitor, London Borough of Hounslow

  Richard makes sure the governance WLWA is appropriate and effective.  He deals with all legal work and executes legal documents on behalf of WLWA. The Clerk is required to undertake any legal action to protect the interests of WLWA.
